27 Weeks

What a week, we started with a bang during the gestational diabetes testing on Monday.  Surprisingly the blood draw was just fine, but afterwards they sent us into the room to wait and I got really hot and light headed.  Danny got me a glass of water but by the time the midwife came in I was seeing black and had to move to the bed to lay down.  I was nervous this would happen, with my fear of blood draws and the no food/sugar drink in my tummy.  After this my work computer decided to implode on itself, so I have spent my work week trying to work from my phone and the outlook site but tomorrow I get the new one and will be back at it again.

Tonight we have a picture session with Brittney, I really cannot wait to see more of her work and will post as soon as I have some images!

27 Weeks

Baby is measuring at the size of an Eggplant this week - just a fatter one!
"Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means she's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress."

How far along? 27 weeks and 5 days.

Maternity clothes? Wishing I could fit into some of my old dresses for Tim and Kristi's wedding Saturday!

Stretch marks? Still none yet, keep 'em crossed!

Sleep? Wishing I could go back to the sleeping well but this week has been bad, I can't stay asleep because Braelyn has been kicking a lot more and it seems to wake me up.  Once I am up I have a really hard time getting my brain to shut off and falling back asleep.

Best moment this week? Hearing her heartbeat again, 140!  I love that sound and Danny's eyes light up every time we hear it :)

Food cravings: SUGAR, I must need more protein.

Movement? She has been moving a LOT more, especially during the night but so far this morning she hasn't stopped.  I am also starting to feel more bumps on my tummy when she moves, I am not sure if its an elbow, knee, tush...

What I miss? I miss having clothes, I always used to complain I had nothing to wear but now I really don't :)

What I'm looking forward to: Next week's move into the 3rd trimester!  - thats actually a mistake from last week, sorry!

Milestones: I believe we passed our GD test, we were supposed to hear back yesterday if we didn't so YAY for that!!
